Online UK-based retailer, ShopTo, is claiming that the PlayStation Vita will be launching on November 4 with the following launch titles:
Dragon’s Crown is an upcoming fantasy side-scrolling beat ‘em up for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 by Vanillaware. Despite being on different systems (one being on a handheld, the other a home console), the game will essentially be the same, save some differences in gameplay. One notable difference is the use of the PlayStation Vita’s touchscreen, which Kashow Oda, the Dragon’s Crown’s producer, detailed.
“On PlayStation 3, you use the analog stick [like a cursor] to select objects such as healing items. We wanted to take advantage of features on Vita, like the touch screen, so on Vita you can do the same thing by touching objects on the screen.”
He then added that “in addition to items, you can touch parts of the background. Walls, for example, may collapse if you touch them opening new paths.”
Capcom announced, this past E3, that their Street Fighter and Tekken crossover game, title Street Fighter X Tekken, will be coming to the PlayStation Vita as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. To add to this, Capcom also revealed a collaboration with Infamous developers, Sucker Punch Productions, to bring Cole MacGrath to the game as a PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 exclusive bonus character.
Namco Bandai is bringing it Ridge Racer series to the PlayStation Vita. Not much is known about the game but I trailer can be inspected below.
Sony exhibited the PlayStation Vita’s memory cards at E3 2011, where they also revealed the name PlayStation Vita, this past week. The cards are planned to come in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB memory.
